Our Garden Story

This past season has been a challenging one on many levels.

2021 in Saskatchewan has been much of a drought.  No rain for weeks and incredible winds.  Such to say the gardens in the area were not particularly happy.

This year we grew every plant that was in the garden from seed.  Whether it was started early under lights in the house or direct seeded.  Was all by us.  That to me is a great accomplishment, I am proud of it and will definitely continue in future years.

We planted large variety of pepper seeds this year, as well a great variety of tomatoes.  My new fave cherry tomato is absolutely the Yellow Pear.  Love it and will be a must grow for me again.

My sweet granddaughter loves sunflowers and has decided she is going to sell them at markets with me.  She is a great blessing.  They are abundant although not many have made it to market this season.

This past season we have learned alot about many things.  We learned by trial and error, some things worked amazingly well and others totally bombed.  Lessons learned = Growth
